Heartbreak Is Not Just A Term: It's Physical Impairment

Heartbreak is nothing new. It is said to be a part of life or a part of growing up. Unfortunately, there is numerous counts of heartbreak that you must endure over the course of your life no matter if you are 10 or 47. There are no age limits for this impairment.

I say impairment because it does impair everything you are; your thoughts, your functions, your ability to see life as it truly is. Your world just seems to crumble. Everyone else is walking around smiling and you quite don’t know how to do it. It seems impossible due to the pain. The pain is real and is manifested by the deep, intense emotions an individual endures during certain situations and events in life.
Known causes of emotional pain to cause physical pain…

  • Death of Your Spouse
  • Relocating
  •  Deep Debt
  •  Divorce
  •  Separation or Break-Ups
  •  Major Injury or Serious Illness
  •  Major Exams
  •  Marriage
  •  Job Loss
  • Retiring

Signs of Emotional Distress
Heartbreak can appear as depression at time. There are differences between depression and heartbreak. When an individual suffers from heartbreak symptoms can include a wide range with not just one pin pointed symptom. However, most of those who endure heartbreak will in fact go through more than one, and sometimes all of the symptoms listed.

  • Loss of Appetite
  • Inability to fall or stay asleep.
  • Tightening of the chest.
  •  Nausea.
  •  Depression.
  •  Uncontrollable crying fits.
  •  Lack of self-esteem.

When you experience this type of emotional and physical pain it is best to confide in someone close to as soon as possible. Waiting to be helped or help someone going through heartbreak can prove to be dangerous to that individual. There are traumatic outcomes that can happen if the person is left to their own devices.
