You Can Only Count On You

You can only count on you. Does that sound odd? You are probably going through a list of people that you are able to count on in your head. However, you CAN ONLY count on you. How you may be wondering since I interrupted your little mental list of those who are at your beck and call.

Keep in mind that without that list, if you were not self sufficient enough to take care of you, well, then you would just die. Good fucking job. You killed yourself in this hypothetical situation. You need to make sure that you can handle your shit if you had no help. The reason being is that you have to do you. If it is your responsibility, then take care of it. If you are one of those dependent people who has to have someone doing something at sometime, then get the fuck of that right now.

You need to develop a sense of independence. Here are things to do to get you going...

* Make a "To Do" list to actually stay on the ball.
* Learn good time management skills.
* Work on your career or job performance in order to be more financially stable for YOURSELF.
* Make a schedule that you can follow so you do not have to rely on people who have their own shit to worry about.

You need to make sure that you are at the top of your list, not someone else. Even stay at home moms need to realize that they need to be independent. Ladies, his check is yours too. Don't let that man tell you otherwise. You work 24/7, a lot fucking more than he does. (Stay at home rant at another date.)

FULL ANSWER

Independent people are able to handle things on their own, and this increases their confidence. On the other hand, lack of independence means relying on others to get things done. Being independent implies having the ability to make decisions. For instance, financial independence brings a sense of freedom by allowing a person to make their own monetary decisions. Emotional independence reduces stress, enhances happiness and helps people handle challenging situations in their lives and make personal decisions.
